The Effect of Warm Ginger Brew on Reducing Nausea and Vomiting in the First-Trimester Pregnant Women

Emesis gravidarum is said to be normal, but if it is not properly monitored and treated it can lead to a more severe condition, namely hyperemesis gravidarum which can affect fetal development. Interventions to reduce nausea and vomiting can be pharmacological and non-pharmacological, one of which is brewing warm ginger. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving warm ginger steeping on reducing nausea and vomiting (Emesis Gravidarum) in pregnant women in the first trimester at UPTD Walantaka Health Center in 2022. This study used a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test without control group. The number of samples in each group was 24 respondents, a total of 48 respondents. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study obtained a p value of 0.000 or <0.05, so it can be concluded that Warm Ginger Stew is more effective in reducing Nausea Vomiting (Emesis Gravidarum) in Trimeter I Pregnant Women. give warm ginger to reduce nausea and vomiting.
