Literature Review: The Effect of Wet Cupping Therapy on Hypertension Patients
Abstract
Hypertension is often characterized by symptoms that often go undetected, thus posing a potential threat to individuals of all ages, resulting in fatal outcomes. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of wet cupping therapy in reducing blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. The methodology used in this research is a Literature Review, involving the analysis of four related journals to investigate the potential for reducing blood pressure levels in individuals with hypertension. Before the wet cupping therapy intervention, both the intervention group and the control group showed blood pressure levels above the normal range. After wet cupping therapy, the intervention group showed a significant reduction in blood pressure, while the control group experienced a less significant reduction. Some participants in the control group showed no reduction in blood pressure. This study concluded that wet cupping therapy has the potential to effectively reduce blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. However, the most significant reduction was observed in the intervention group, emphasizing the benefits of wet cupping therapy in managing hypertension. This research emphasizes the importance of alternative therapies, such as wet cupping, in overcoming the threat of hypertension and provides valuable insights into health more broadly.
