Intervention of Giving Basil Leaves to Women of Childbearing Age with Vaginal Discharge

Vaginal discharge is a condition where there is a discharge of fluid or mucus in the vaginal canal due to hormones, fungi, bacteria, viruses, or other foreign substances which, if left unchecked, can cause infection and cause other diseases. One effort to reduce vaginal discharge caused by fungi is to use eugenol, which is one of the ingredients in basil leaves that can kill the fungus that causes pathological vaginal discharge. This study aimed to determine the intervention description of the effect of giving basil leaves to women of childbearing age with vaginal discharge. The research method used is a case study. The target of this case study is women of childbearing age with vaginal discharge. The case study was carried out for 7 days with basil consumed 3 times a day. The results of the study showed that eugenol in basil leaves was effective in reducing pathological vaginal discharge in women of childbearing age with vaginal discharge.
