Literature Review
Keywords:
Emergency Department, Nurse Work Stress, WorkloadAbstract
A high workload in the Emergency Department (ED) often leads to significant work stress in nurses. This study explores the relationship between workload and work stress of nurses in the ED through a literature review. The research method used was a literature review, which analyzed seven related studies. The results showed a significant positive correlation between workload and job stress in nurses in the ED, with p-values ranging from 0.0000 to 0.0002, indicating a highly significant relationship. Chi-Square analysis results from various studies support these findings, showing that nurses who face high workloads tend to experience higher levels of job stress. Based on these results, it is recommended that hospital management adjust nurses' workload and provide adequate psychological support to reduce work stress.
