Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis, which is a germ that can live mainly in the lungs or various other organs of the body. This case study aims to describe effective cough interventions and chest physiotherapy for sputum removal in pulmonary tuberculosis clients. The research method used is a case study, the target of this case study is 2 clients of pulmonary tuberculosis with airway clearance problems. This case study was conducted for 3 days with evaluation results showing that the cough with phlegm was reduced and there was a change in respiratory frequency which improved after being given an effective cough. So it can be concluded that effective cough intervention and chest physiotherapy can make changes to the problem of airway clearance in clients with pulmonary tuberculosis.
