Drug Planning in Supporting Nursing Services in the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Syekh Yusuf Gowa
Abstract
Effective drug planning in pharmaceutical installations has an important role in supporting nursing services, especially in ensuring the availability and use of appropriate and safe drugs. This study aims to review the drug planning process in the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Sheikh Yusuf Gowa Regency in supporting nursing services. Using a qualitative approach, this study focused on an in-depth exploration of the stages and challenges in the drug planning process. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three key informants, participatory observation, and analysis of relevant documents. The results showed that the drug planning process at the Pharmacy Installation of Syekh Yusuf Hospital has included the stages of drug selection, compilation, and calculation of drug needs. However, the implementation still faces obstacles, especially related to drug stock vacancies which cause the planning results to not fully match the planned needs. These findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the drug planning process to support better-quality nursing services.
