The Effect of Audiovisual Health Education on Friendship Behavior and the Dangers of Bullying in Elementary School Students

Bullying is a systematic abuse of power with repeated aggressive or harmful actions by individuals or groups that can cause psychological problems. This study aims to determine the effect of health education with audiovisuals on friendship behavior and the dangers of bullying in fifth-grade elementary school students at SDN Banjarsari 5. The design of this study was pre-experimental with the method of one group pre-posttest design without control. The population in this study was fifth-grade students. The sampling technique used was the total sampling technique which amounted to 101 respondents. The results of this study found that before being given health education with audiovisuals on friendship behavior and the dangers of bullying, namely (57.50) and after (51.69). Based on the results of the dependent t-test, it was found that there was an effect of health education with audiovisuals on the behavior of friends and the dangers of bullying in elementary school students with a p-value of 0.000. Schools and parents are expected to actively educate the dangers of bullying and the importance of students being able to socialize with peers in the home and school environment.
