Fire Emergency Response Preparedness among Traders in Rau Market, Serang City

Preparedness is part of the disaster management process where preparedness efforts are an important element of proactive disaster risk reduction prevention activities before disasters occur, including fire disasters. This study was conducted on 87 traders in Pasar Rau Kota Serang in March-July 2024 which aims to determine the relationship between age, education, knowledge, attitudes with fire emergency response preparedness among traders in Pasar Rau Kota Serang in 2024. This study used a cross-sectional design. The statistical test used is the chi square test. The results showed that 87 respondents (58.3%) did not readily implement fire emergency response preparedness. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between emergency response preparedness and knowledge (p value=0.016). There is no significant relationship between age, education and attitude towards fire emergency response preparedness.
